  • Daikon radish
    500 g
  • (A)Ponzu sauce
    3 tbsp
  • (A)Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)
    1 tsp
  • (A)Sugar
    1 tsp
  • (A)Grated ginger
    1 tsp
  • Salad oil
    1 tbsp
  • Radish sprouts
    as needed

How to make

  1. Prepare. Peel the daikon radish. Cut off the root of the radish sprouts.
  2. 1. Cut the daikon radish into 0.8 inch wide round slices and make a 0.6-inch wide grid on the surface.
  3. 2. Place in a heat-resistance bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and microwave for 5 minutes at 600 W.
  4. 3. Add cooking oil to a heated pan, add Step 2 ingredients, and cook over medium heat.
  5. 4. Once browned, flip and cook over medium heat until browned.
