  • Ketchup

  • Shredded pizza cheeze

How to make

  1. Prepare. Remove the core of the bell pepper.
  2. 1. Cut bell pepper into 0.2-inch wide round slices. Slice onion thinly.
  3. 2. Cut Japanese sausage into 0.2-inch width round slices.
  4. 3. Add olive oil to a heated pan over medium heat, add Step 1 and 2, and stir-fry for about 3 minutes until everything is cooked through, then remove from the heat.
  5. 4. Add the pizza sauce ingredients to a bowl and mix well.
  6. 5. Slice rice cake (kirimochi) thinly. Put it in a separate bowl, add some water, and mix it all together until it's blended.
  7. 6. Pour some olive oil into another pan that is heated over low heat, and spread Step 5 all over. Cover with a lid and cook for about 5 minutes until kirimochi melts and sticks together.
  8. 7. Remove the lid, flip it over, spread Step 4 on the surface, and top with Step 3 and shredded pizza cheese.
  9. 8. Cover with a lid, cook over low heat for about 6 minutes until the outside is crispy and the cheese is melted, then remove from heat.
  10. 9. Serve on a plate, sprinkle with parsley, and it’s ready to serve.

Tips for cooking

Please adjust the amount of salt to your liking. If you sprinkle water on rice cake kirimochi, kirimochi will stick to each other when heated, making it look like a dough.
