  • Pork belly
    50 g
  • Bitter melon
    70 g
  • Onion
    20 g
  • 炒り卵

  • (A)Chicken soup stock (powder, cube, liquid)

  • (A)Japanese versatile dashi base (Shiro-dashi)

How to make

  1. Prepare. Remove the seeds and white pith of the bitter melon. Loosen the stir fry noodles (yakisoba).
  2. 1. Thinly slice bitter melon. Thinly slice onion.
  3. 2. Cut pork belly into 0.8-inch pieces.
  4. 3. Add sesame oil for eggs in a heated pan over medium heat, add beaten eggs, and stir-fry until half-cooked, then remove from the pan.
  5. 4. Wipe the pan from Step 3 lightly, heat sesame oil over medium heat, and stir-fry Step 2.
  6. 5. When the pork belly changes color, add Step 1 and stir-fry over medium heat for 3 minutes.
  7. 6. When the pork belly is cooked, add yakisoba noodles, and stir-fry over medium heat, then add Step 3 back in.
  8. 7. Add (A), stir-fry over medium heat, and when all the flavors are well blended, place in a plate and garnish with bonito flakes.

Tips for cooking

If you heat yakisoba in a microwave for about 1 minute, it will loosen easily. White dashi has different flavors and intensities depending on the type of it, so please use the amount on the package as a guide and use it according to your preference.
