  • Tempura flour
    70 g
  • Curry powder
    1 tsp
  • Granulated Japanese consomme soup stock
    1 tsp
  • Water
    90 ml
  • Frying oil
    as needed
  • Salt
    1/4 tsp

How to make

  1. 1. Make a notch on the core of Brussels sprouts in an X shape.
  2. 2. Mix the ingredients for the batter in a bowl and dip Step 1 into the batter.
  3. 3. Pour in about 2 inches depth of deep-frying oil, heat to 180°C (356°F), and add Step 2. Deep-fry for about 2 minutes until it gets crispy, then drain off the oil.
  4. 4. Arrange it on a plate and garnish with salt to complete the dish.

Tips for cooking

Please adjust the amount of salt to your taste. If you overcook Brussels sprouts, they will have a worse texture and will become bitter, so please be careful not to overcook them.
