  • Green onion

  • Cabbage

  • Bean sprouts
    80 g
  • 生地
  • Cake flour (Pastry flour)

  • Starch

  • Japanese style granulated soup stock
    1 tsp
  • bonito flakes
    3 g
  • Eggs
    1
  • Sugar
    1 tsp
  • Soy sauce
    1 tsp
  • Water
    80 ml
  • Okonomiyaki sauce
    as needed
  • Japanese Mayonnaise
    as needed
  • Salad oil
    1 tbsp

How to make

  1. 1. Chop off the root of the green onion, and slice thinly.
  2. 2. Slice cabbage into thin strips.
  3. 3. Add all of the dough ingredients except for water in a bowl, and mix well. Add water little by little, and mix.
  4. 4. Add Step 2 and bean sprouts into Step 3, and mix further.
  5. 5. Add cooking oil to a pan, heat over strong heat, and add Step 4, once it's browned, flip over, cover with a lid, and steam cook for 5 minutes over low heat.
  6. 6. Arrange it on a plate, brush okonomiyaki sauce, add lots of Step 1, top mayonnaise, and it's ready to serve.

Tips for cooking

Please use your favorite vegetables. We used green onions this time, but you can use Japanese leeks. If you don't have starch, please make it with 60g of pastry flour.
