A simple and easy to understand recipe video shows how to make Boiled Tofu (Yudofu) With Delicious Dashi.
Here is a boiled tofu (yudofu) that comes with a delicious dashi (Japanese soup stock) and can be easily cooked in a microwave. You can eat it as it is with a gentle dashi, but it is also delicious to drizzle ponzu sauce if you like. It is also recommended as an additional dish.

Ingredients
2 servings

  • Silk tofu
    200 g
  • Water
    150 ml
  • Kelp (Kombu)
    2 sheets
  • (A)Light soy sauce
    1 tsp
  • (A)Japanese style granulated soup stock
    1 tsp
  • bonito flakes
    as needed

How to make

  1. 1. Put water and the kelp (kombu) into a large heat-resistant bowl and let it sit for 30 minutes.
  2. 2. Cut the silk tofus into 2 equal pieces.
  3. 3. Mix the ingredient (A) in Step 1 and add Step 2.
  4. 4. Cover it with plastic wrap and microwave for about 5 minutes at 500W.
  5. 5. Arrange in the order of kombu and silk tofu, then sprinkle bonito flakes and it’s ready to serve.

Tips for cooking

If you overcook the silk tofu, it will get spongy, so please adjust the heating time according to the condition. Please adjust the amount of salt to your liking.
