  • Chicken breast
    300 g
  • Salt and pepper mix
    a pinch
  • Green shiso leaves
    6 sheets
  • Shredded pizza cheeze
    40 g
  • Salad oil
    1 tbsp
  • Water
    2 tbsp
  • たれ
  • Soy sauce
    2 tbsp
  • Sake
    1 tbsp
  • Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)
    1 tbsp
  • Grated garlic
    1/2 tsp
  • Honey
    1 tbsp

How to make

  1. 1. Mix all ingredients for the sauce.
  2. 2. Cut open chicken breast into same thickness, pound it, and sprinkle with salt and pepper mix.
  3. 3. Sandwich the green shiso leaves and cheese in between the chicken breast and secure with toothpicks.
  4. 4. Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium heat and grill Step 3. When browned, flip and cook both sides.
  5. 5. Add water to Step 4, cover with a lid, and steam over medium heat for 4 minutes.
  6. 6. Add Step 1 to Step 5 and steam over medium heat for another 5 minutes, with a lid close.
  7. 7. Remove toothpicks from Step 6, cut them into bite-size pieces, and place them on a plate. Drizzle the remaining sauce from the pan, and it's ready to serve.

Tips for cooking

Please adjust the amount of salt to your taste. This recipe uses honey. Children under 1 year old (infants) should not consume this product. You can substitute sugar for honey, but the sweetness varies depending on the type of honey, so please adjust it according to your preference.
