This is a recipe for a simple omlet rice where, instead of ketchup rice, we are using butter rice which has a rich flavor. It is a hearty dish so we recommend it for dinner or lunch. You can put a lot of ketchup if you like. We hope you like it!

  • Rice
    300 g
  • Chicken thigh
    160 g
  • Onion
    1/2
  • Salt
    1/4 tsp
  • White pepper

  • Salted butter
    20 g

    2 tbsp
  • Starch
    2 tsp

  • Ketchup

How to make

  1. 1. Mince the onions. Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
  2. 2. Beat 2 eggs in two separate bowls, then add half of the thin omelet ingredients into each bowl and mix together.
  3. 3. Add half of cooking oil to pan heated over medium heat, spread it using a paper towel, pour in the eggs from step 2 and spread the egg mixture all over the pan. When the surface of the egg has hardened, remove from the heat and place on a plastic wrap. Repeat the process for the second piece.
  4. 4. Melt salted butter in another pan, add the onion from step 1 and stir-fry over medium heat. When the onions become wilted, add the chicken thighs from step 1 and stir-fry. When the chicken thighs are cooked, add the rice and stir-fry further. When the rice has loosened, season them with salt and white pepper, then remove from the heat.
  5. 5. Place half of the rice from step 4 on top of the eggs from step 3 and wrap. Repeat the process to make another piece.
  6. 6. Place it on a plate, cover with ketchup and it is done!

Tips for cooking

Adding starch to the eggs helps in having a clean finish when cooking. For senior citizens, children under the age of 2, pregnant women, and individuals with weakened immune systems, please avoid eating raw eggs.
