  • Pork belly
    150 g
  • Salt and pepper mix
    1 three finger pinch
  • Bean sprouts
    100 g
  • Tempura flour
    50 g
  • Curry powder
    1 tsp
  • Cold water
    70 ml
  • Frying oil
    as needed
  • Sweet chili sauce
    1 tbsp

How to make

  1. 1. Sprinkle the pork belly with salt and pepper mix, place the bean sprouts on top of it, and roll up.
  2. 2. In a bowl, mix the ingredients for the batter, and dip Step 1 into the batter.
  3. 3. Pour 1-inch depth of frying oil into a pot, heat to 180℃ (356°F), and add Step 2. Deep fry for about 5 minutes until the pork belly is cooked through and the batter is crispy, then drain off the oil.
  4. 4. Arrange on a plate, garnish with sweet chili sauce, and it's ready to serve.

Tips for cooking

Please adjust the amount of curry powder to your taste. Please be careful while cooking. The oil may splash when deep frying.
