Ingredients

  • Firm tofu
    200 g
  • Starch
    2 tbsp
  • Frying oil
    as needed
  • Noodle Soup
  • Water
    100 ml
  • Noodle soup base (Mentsuyu)
    100 ml
  • Toppings
  • Grated daikon radish
    50 g
  • Grated ginger
    1 tsp
  • Nori seaweed
    as needed

How to make

  1. 1. Cut the firm tofu into 4 equal pieces and pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. 2. Spread starch on a tray, coat Step 1 evenly, and dust off any excess powder.
  3. 3. Pour 1-inch depth of frying oil into a pot, heat to 160℃ (320°F), and add Step 2. Deep-fry for about 3 minutes until the surface becomes crispy, then drain the oil.
  4. 4. Add the sauce ingredients to a pot, bring to a boil over medium heat, and remove it from the heat.
  5. 5. Arrange Step 3 and pour in Step 4. Add the topping ingredients and it’s ready to serve.

Tips for cooking

We use mentsuyu which is 2 times concentrated. Please adjust the amount according to your mentsuyu. Please use your favorite topping.
