A simple and easy to understand recipe video shows how to make Omelet Rice Style Raw Egg on Rice (Tamagokakegohan).
We modified a time consuming omelet rice dish into a time-saving bowl style dish with a quick recipe. It is very easy since you can make this in a bowl without the use of fire. Please make sure to mix the egg thoroughly before eating. We also recommend adding cheese flakes (ones used for pizza) for additional flavor.

  • Rice
    200 g
  • Wiener
    3
  • Onion
    30 g
  • Japanese green bell pepper (Piman)
    1/2
  • (A)Ketchup
    2 tbsp
  • (A)Powdered cheese
    1 tbsp
  • (A)Granulated Japanese consomme soup stock
    1/2 tsp
  • Egg yolk
    1
  • Parsley
    as needed

How to make

  1. Prepare. Mince parsley. Remove the core and seeds of the bell peppers.
  2. 1. Chop the onions and bellpeppers.
  3. 2. Cut the vienna sausage into 0.2-inch width slices.
  4. 3. Place the ingredients made in Step 1&2 and (A) in a heat-proof bowl and lightly cover it with a plastic wrap. Heat it in the microwave set to 600W for 5 mins, until the vienna sausage is thoroughly cooked.
  5. 4. Put it on a plate and place the egg yolk on top. Finally sprinkle some parsley and it is ready!

Tips for cooking

Heating conditions may vary depending on the type of microwave, the type of heat-resistant container, and the condition of the ingredients. Please check the condition and adjust the heating time as necessary until the ingredients are cooked thoroughly. For senior citizens, children under the age of 2, pregnant women, and individuals with weakened immune systems, please avoid eating raw eggs.
