  • Stir fry noodles (Yakisoba)

  • Water
    40 ml
  • Japanese leek
    1/2
  • Pork belly
    100 g
  • (A)Sesame oil
    1 tbsp
  • (A)Grated garlic
    1 tsp
  • (A)Whole Japanese chili peppers (Takanotsume)
    1
  • Salted rice malt (Shio-koji)
    1 tsp
  • Green onion
    a pinch

How to make

  1. 1. Chop green onion (Japanese leek) into small pieces. Cut pork belly into bite-size pieces.
  2. 2. Heat (A) in a pan over medium heat. When garlic starts to get fragrant, add Step 1 and stir fry.
  3. 3. When one side of the pork belly is cooked, add stir fry noodles (yakisoba) and water.
  4. 4. After the noodles loosen, add salted rice malt (shio-koji) and mix well.
  5. 5. Arrange it on a plate and sprinkle green onion to complete the dish.

Tips for cooking

Adjust spiciness or the taste to your liking. You can substitute salt for shio-koji. You can also substitute to Chicken soup stock, but the flavor will change.
