    300 g
  • Powdered cheese
    2 tbsp
  • Cooking sake
    2 tsp
  • Grated garlic
    1 tsp
  • Green shiso leaves
    10 sheets
  • (A)Japanese BBQ sauce (Yakiniku sauce)
    1 tbsp
  • (A)Cooking sake
    1 tbsp
  • (A)Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)
    1 tsp
  • Salad oil
    1 tsp
  • Roasted white sesame seeds
    1/2 tsp

How to make

  1. Prepare. Cut off the stem for green shiso leaves.
  2. 1. Cut chicken thigh into 10 equal pieces.
  3. 2. Add Step 1, cheese powder, cooking sake, and grated garlic to a bowl and rub well.
  4. 3. Once the flavors have blended, roll in green shiso leaves.
  5. 4. Add ingredient (A) in a separate bowl and mix together.
  6. 5. Place cooking oil in a medium heated pan and add Step 3. When one side is browned, flip it over, cover it with a lid, and cook for about 3 minutes until chicken thigh is cooked through.
  7. 6. When both sides are browned, continue to heat over medium heat, add Step 4, coat it, and remove from the heat when the flavors have blended.
  8. 7. Transfer to a plate, sprinkle with white roasted sesame seeds, and it's ready to serve.

You can substitute chicken breast for chicken thigh to enjoy it.
