15 minutes

Ingredients
2 servings

  • Water
    400 ml
  • Asari clam
    200 g
  • Kelp (Kombu)
    2 g
  • Miso
    1 tbsp
  • Young green onion (Konegi)
    as needed

How to make

  1. 1. Add water, kelp (kombu), and asari clams in a pot and heat over medium heat.
  2. 2. Remove kombu just before the water comes to a boil.
  3. 3. When the water comes to a boil and the asari clams open, lower the heat, add and dissolve miso in.
  4. 4. Serve in bowls and sprinkle with young green onion (konegi), and it's ready to eat.

Tips for cooking

In Step 2, kombu becomes slimy when it boils, so take it out just before it boils. In Step 3, to not lose the flavor of miso, do not boil it after adding miso. If you overheat the clams, the flesh will become hard and small, so please serve the dish quickly once the mouth is opened.
