  • Rice

  • Sake
    1 slice(s)
  • Japanese leek
    1/3
  • (A)Cooking sake
    1 tbsp
  • (A)Sugar
    1 tbsp
  • (A)Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)
    1 tbsp
  • (A)Soy sauce
    1 tbsp
  • Salad oil
    1 tbsp
  • Toppings
  • Green shiso leaves
    2 sheets

How to make

  1. Prepare. Remove the bones from sake. Cut off the stem for green shiso leaves.
  2. 1. Cut Japanese leek into 1-inch wide pieces.
  3. 2. Place cooking oil in a pan heated over medium heat, add sake and Step 1, and stir-fry. When both sides of sake have browned, cover and steam for about 5 minutes.
  4. 3. When sake is cooked through, add ingredient (A) and heat over low heat. Once the sauce has thickened and the flavors have been absorbed, remove from heat.
  5. 4. Place the rice in a bowl, and serve with green shiso leaves and Step 3, then it's ready to serve.
