  • Spicy pollack roe
    40 g
  • (A)Japanese Mayonnaise
    3 tbsp
  • (A)White pepper
    a pinch
  • Young green onion (Konegi)
    as needed

How to make

  1. Prepare. Peel the potatoes and remove the potato-eyes. Remove the thin skin and break the meat of spicy cod/pollack roe (mentaiko).
  2. 1. Cut the potatoes into bite-sized pieces.
  3. 2. Place it in a heat-resistant bowl, cover it loosely with plastic wrap, and heat in a 600W microwave for about 4 minutes until soft, then mash with a fork while still hot, then cool it.
  4. 3. Add mentaiko and ingredient (A), and mix well.
  5. 4. Serve it in a bowl, sprinkle it with young green onion (konegi), and it's ready to serve.

Tips for cooking

Please adjust the amount of salt to your liking. Please adjust the cooking time depending on the size of the potatoes. Cooked potatoes are easy to mash when they are hot.
