A simple and easy to understand recipe video shows how to make Ethnic Stir Fry Noodles (Yakisoba) with Sweet Chili Sauce.
It is stir fry noodles (yakisoba) seasoned with sweet chili sauce and nam pla fish sauce. If you had enough of sauce-flavored yakisoba, ethnic-style yakisoba is also good. If you have leftover of sweet chili sauce and nam pla fish sauce in your fridge, please make it.

  • Stir fry noodles (Yakisoba)

  • Ground pork
    80 g
  • Chinese chive
    30 g
  • Eggplant
    1/2
  • Sweet chili sauce
    2 tbsp
  • Sake
    1 tbsp
  • Grated ginger
    1 tsp
  • Nam pla fish sauce
    1 tsp
  • Salt
    a pinch
  • Black pepper
    a pinch
  • Sesame oil
    2 tsp
  • Sesame oil
    1 tsp

How to make

  1. 1. Cut Chinese chives into 2-inch sized pieces in length. Remove the calyx of eggplant and chop into 0.8-inch sized pieces.
  2. 2. Add sesame oil and grated ginger in a pan, and heat over low heat. When you start to smell the aroma, add ground pork and stir fry over medium heat until it changes color.
  3. 3. Add the ingredients from Step 1, salt and black pepper, and stir fry further. When the eggplants has softened, add stir fry noodles (yakisoba) and cooking sake, then stir-fry over medium heat.
  4. 4. Once the noodles has loosened, add sweet chili sauce, fish sauce, and mix well. Once the moisture has evaporated, serve in a plate. Finish up by pouring over some sesame oil and it is done!

Tips for cooking

Stir fry sweet chili sauce quickly so that the moisture evaporates without burning. Please change the ingredients as you like for arrangements.
