  • Daikon radish
    100 g
  • Ginger
    20 g
  • Thin fried tofu (Abura-age)
    1 sheets
  • Hot water
    400 ml
  • (A)Japanese style granulated soup stock
    1 tsp
  • (A)Cooking sake
    1 tsp
  • Miso
    1 tbsp
  • Young green onion (Konegi)
    as needed

How to make

  1. Prepare. Peel daikon radish and ginger. Drain the oil of thin fried tofu (abura-age) by pouring boiling water over it, then drain the water.
  2. 1. Cut daikon radish into strips. Shred ginger.
  3. 2. Cut abura-age into strips.
  4. 3. Bring a pot of water to a boil, add (A), Step 1 and Step 2, and cook over medium heat for about 3 minutes.
  5. 4. When daikon radish is cooked thoroughly, reduce heat to low, dissolve in miso, and remove from heat.
  6. 5. Arrange on bowls, and sprinkle young green onion (konegi).

Tips for cooking

Please adjust the amount of salt to your taste. After adding miso, please be careful not to boil it because it will lose its flavor.
