Lasagna With Gyoza Wrappers - Recipe Video

A simple and easy to understand recipe video shows how to make Lasagna With Gyoza Wrappers.
We used leftover gyoza wrappers to make it lasagna style. Gyoza wrappers are thinner than pasta, so you can enjoy a chewy texture by layering two pieces. You can make meat sauce and béchamel sauce (Japanese white sauce) in the microwave, so it's very easy. Please give it a try.

How to make

  1. Prepare. Preheat the oven to 180°C (360°F).
  2. 1. Make the meat sauce. Mix the meat sauce ingredients together in a heatproof bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and cook in a 600 W microwave until the ground beef and pork is cooked through, about 5 minutes.
  3. 2. Make the béchamel sauce (Japanese white sauce). Place the salted butter and cake flour (pastry flour) in a separate large heatproof bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and heat in a 600 W microwave until the butter melts, about 30 seconds, and mix well.
  4. 3. When the powdery mixture is gone, add the milk in 3 batches, mixing well each time. Microwave for 3 minutes at 600 W without covering with plastic wrap.
  5. 4. Take it out and mix it together. Heat it for 4 minutes in a 600 W microwave without covering with plastic wrap, and let it cool down when it thickens.
  6. 5. Place 2 pieces of gyoza wrappers in a heat-resistant container. Layer Step 1 and 4 and repeat in the same way.
  7. 6. Top with shredded pizza cheese and heat in the oven at 180°C (360°F) for 20 minutes.
  8. 7. Sprinkle with parsley and it's ready.

Tips for cooking

Please make sure to preheat the oven before baking. If the oven does not have a preheating function, set the temperature and heat for 10 minutes before baking. The strength of the heat may vary depending on the type of oven and the period of use. Please make sure to follow the recipe as a guide but adjust the baking time as needed. If it browns too fast, cover it with aluminum foil. In step 2, the butter may boil. Heating conditions may vary depending on the type of microwave, the type of heat-resistant container, and the condition of the ingredients. Please check the condition and adjust the heating time as necessary.
