Introducing homemade oinari at home. Oinari is loved by children to adults. Sometimes you just feel like eating it, right? If you make the tofu pockets beforehand, you will only need to make sushi rice or original sushi rice and enjoy the dish just by stuffing it.

Ingredients

  • Sushi Rice
  • Rice
    300 g
  • Vinegar
    2 tbsp
  • Sugar
    1 tbsp
  • Salt
    1/2 tsp
  • Roasted white sesame seeds
    2 tsp
  • Deep Fried Tofu Pockets (Inari)
  • Thin fried tofu (Abura-age)
    3 sheets
  • Sugar
    2 tbsp
  • Soy sauce
    2 tbsp
  • Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)
    1/2 tbsp
  • Water
    100 ml

How to make

  1. Prepare. For thin fried tofu (abura-age), pour hot water to drain the oil.
  2. 1. Cut abura-age in half.
  3. 2. Mix all the ingredients for inari in a pot and bring to a boil over high heat.
  4. 3. Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes, let it cool down, put it in a tupperware, and let it rest in the refrigerator for half a day.
  5. 4. Put sushi rice ingredients in a bowl and let it blend.
  6. 5. Fill Step 3 with Step 4 and serve on a plate, and it's ready.

Tips for cooking

Please adjust the amount of salt to your liking. If you want some sweetness, please adjust the amount of sugar you put in sushi rice. You can also substitute black roasted sesame seeds for white roasted sesame seeds.
