  • (A)Miso

  • (A)Grated ginger

  • Salad oil

  • Green shiso leaves
    6 sheets
  • Sesame oil
    1/2 tbsp
  • (B)Soy sauce
    2 tbsp
  • (B)Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)
    2 tbsp
  • (B)Sugar
    1/2 tbsp

How to make

  1. Prepare. Cut off the stem of green shiso leaves.
  2. 1. Mince green shiso leaves and Japanese leek that are for minced meat patties.
  3. 2. Add ground chicken, Step 1 and (A) in a bowl, knead well with your hands and divide into 6 equal parts.
  4. 3. Spread cooking oil on your hands, shape Step 2 into an oval shape, and wrap it with green shiso leaves.
  5. 4. Add sesame oil to a pan heated over medium heat, then add Step 3. Cover with a lid and steam cook for about 6 minutes until heated through, turning occasionally.
  6. 5. Remove the lid, add (B), and cook over medium heat, until flavors are absorbed while turning them, then remove from heat.
  7. 6. Transfer to a serving plate and it's ready to serve.

Tips for cooking

After adding Seasonings in (B), please mix it well so that it doesn't get burned. Minced meat patties are soft, so please handle them carefully.
