Ingredients

  • Pork loin
    300 g
  • Cake flour (Pastry flour)
    5 g
  • Seasoning Mix
  • Noodle soup base (Mentsuyu)
    4 tbsp
  • Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)
    2 tbsp
  • Grated ginger
    1 tsp
  • Green shiso leaves
    4 sheets

How to make

  1. 1. Cut the stem off the green shiso leaves and cut into strips.
  2. 2. Put the seasoning mix ingredients in a bowl and mix together.
  3. 3. Lay pork loin on top of each other little by little and shake cake flour (pastry flour) on top with a tea strainer. Roll it from the end and tie it with a kite string.
  4. 4. Place the pork from Step 3 in a heat-resistant dish with the end of the rolls facing down, pour in the seasonings from Step 2, cover loosely with a plastic wrap, and microwave at 600 W for about 6 minutes until it is heated through.
  5. 5. Remove the kite string and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Serve on a plate, garnish with the shiso leaves from Step 1 and it is ready!
