  • Thinly sliced pork
    80 g
  • Onion
    50 g
  • Hot water
    500 ml
  • (A)Miso
    1 tbsp
  • (A)Red miso
    1 tbsp
  • (A)Gochujang
    1 tbsp
  • (A)Fried onions
    1 tbsp
  • (A)Chicken soup stock (powder, cube, liquid)
    1 tsp
  • (A)Grated garlic
    1 tsp
  • Salad oil
    1 tbsp

How to make

  1. Prepare. Remove seeds, white pith, and stems from a bitter melon.
  2. 1. Cut the bitter melon into 0.4-inch wide half-moon slices.
  3. 2. Chop onions finely.
  4. 3. Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium heat, add thinly sliced pork and stir-fry. When the color changes, add Step 1 and 2.
  5. 4. When the onions become transparent, add hot water and ingredient (A) and heat them. When it comes to a boil, remove from heat.
  6. 5. Bring water to a boil in a separate pot, add Chinese noodles, boil according to package directions, and drain.
  7. 6. Serve in a bowl, pour Step 4 over, and it's ready.

Tips for cooking

Adjust the amount of miso to your liking. We are using thinly sliced pork this time, but you can also substitute pork belly.
