We tossed boiled broccoli with spicy pollack/cod roe (mentaiko) and Japanese mayonnaise. Mentaiko and mayonnaise go well with the simple taste of broccoli.   • Broccoli
    150 g
  • Hot water
    600 ml
  • Salt
    1/2 tsp
  • (A)Spicy pollack roe
    40 g
  • (A)Japanese Mayonnaise
    2 tbsp
  • (A)Noodle soup base (Mentsuyu)
    1/2 tbsp

How to make

  1. Prepare. Squeeze out the meat of spicy cod/pollack roe (mentaiko).
  2. 1. Cut the broccoli florets into clusters and cut the stems into 0.2-inch pieces. If the skin at the base of the stems is hard, peel the skin.
  3. 2. Boil water in a pot, add salt, add Step 1, and cook for about 3 minutes until cooked through, then drain.
  4. 3. Add the ingredients from ingredient (A) to a bowl and mix well.
  5. 4. Add Step 2 to Step 3 and toss. When everything is well blended, plate it, and it's ready to serve.

Tips for cooking

Boil the broccoli to your desired hardness. The amount of salt in mentsuyu varies depending on the manufacturer, so please adjust according to your preference.
