  • Bamboo shoots boiled in water
    200 g
  • Pork belly
    150 g
  • Carrot
    50 g
  • Water
    400 ml
  • (A)Japanese style granulated soup stock
    1 tsp
  • (A)Soy sauce
    1 tsp
  • Miso
    1.5 tbsp
  • Sesame oil
    1 tbsp
  • Young green onion (Konegi)
    as needed

How to make

  1. Prepare. Peel carrots.
  2. 1. Cut boiled bamboo shoots into 3 pieces lengthwise and into 0.8-inch pieces.
  3. 2. Cut the carrots into 0.4-inch wide quarters.
  4. 3. Cut pork belly into 1-inch wide pieces.
  5. 4. Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat, and stir-fry Step 1, 2, and 3.
  6. 5. When the pork belly changes color, add water and ingredient (A) and boil over medium heat.
  7. 6. When the carrots are cooked through, beat in the miso, then remove from the heat. Serve in a dish, sprinkle with young green onions (konegi), and it is ready.

Tips for cooking

To taste, You can add various vegetables such as carrots, burdock root, and taro (satoimo). It is also delicious with seven flavor chili pepper to finish.
