A simple and easy to understand recipe video shows how to make Power-Up Tsukimi udon noodles.
Introducing tsukimi udon noodles with plenty of pork seasoned with Japanese BBQ sauce (yakiniku sauce). The well-seasoned meat goes well with a mild flavor of the egg yolk. It goes well with the smooth udon noodles as well. You should definitely give it a try!

  • Udon

  • Hot water
    as needed
  • Pork belly
    100 g
  • Onion
    1/4
  • Japanese BBQ sauce (Yakiniku sauce)
    1 tbsp
  • Salad oil
    1 tbsp
  • Noodle soup base (Mentsuyu)
    100 ml
  • Water
    200 ml
  • Egg yolk
    1

How to make

  1. 1. Slice onions thinly.
  2. 2. Cut pork belly into 0.8-inch pieces.
  3. 3. Heat pan over medium heat, add cooking oil, and stir-fry Step 2.
  4. 4. When pork belly is cooked through, add Step 1 and stir-fry over medium heat. When the onion becomes soft, add Japanese BBQ sauce (yakiniku sauce) and stir-fry well. Remove from the heat when the flavors have blended.
  5. 5. Boil water in a pot, add udon noodles, boil, and drain according to the instructions on the package.
  6. 6. Add noodle soup base (mentsuyu) and water to another pot, bring to a boil over medium heat, then remove from heat.
  7. 7. Add Step 5 and Step 6 in a bowl, top with Step 4 and egg yolk, and it's ready to serve.
