A simple and easy to understand recipe video shows how to make Grilled Japanese Rice Ball with 3 Kinds of Mayonnaise .
It's 3 kinds of grilled Japanese rice balls (onigiri) with delicious grilled mayonnaise aroma and saltiness. This time we made it with 3 kinds of onigiri, which are roasted white sesame, dried green seaweed flakes (aonori), and shiso furikake seasoning. We also recommend mixing salted kelp or bonito flakes. Please try it for breakfast or a snack when you are hungry.

Ingredients
1 onigiri

  • Rice
    180 g
  • Roasted white sesame seeds
    1 tsp
  • Dried green seaweed flakes (Aonori)
    1/3 tsp
  • Shiso furikake seasoning
    1/3 tsp
  • Japanese Mayonnaise
    1.5 tbsp
  • Seven flavor chili pepper
    a pinch

How to make

  1. 1. Divide the rice into 3 equal portions, and mix each with white sesame seed, dried green seaweed flakes pack (aonori), or red shiso leaf rice seasoning (shiso furikake).
  2. 2. Place each Step 1 on a plastic wrap, and use your hands to press and form a triangle shape
  3. 3. Add and spread mayonnaise into 3 even parts on a pan with medium heat. Place Step 2 that has removed the plastic wrap on top of the mayonnaise and bake.
  4. 4. Once cooked until both sides have browned, remove from the heat.
  5. 5. Place it on a plate, sprinkle seven flavor chili pepper, and it's ready to serve.

Tips for cooking

If you don't like spicy food, please do not use seven-flavor chili pepper. This recipe is seasoned well with the saltiness of mayonnaise, but you can also add salt to rice according to your preference.
