How to make

  1. Prepare. Line a mold with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 180°C (360°F).
  2. 1. Put an ingredient (A) in a bowl and warm it in hot water until honey softens.
  3. 2. Put eggs and caster sugar in a separate bowl and whisk with a hand mixer while warming it in hot water. Whisk until a ribbon-like streak forms when dripping from the top.
  4. 3. Sift in bread flour and mix quickly with a whisk.
  5. 4. Add Step 1 and mix with a whisk.
  6. 5. Add crystal sugar and spread it all over.
  7. 6. Pour it into the mold from a slightly higher position, put the long chopsticks in the batter, move it up, down, left, and right to release the air, and bake it in the oven at 180°C (360°F) for 15 minutes.
  8. 7. Lower the oven temperature to 160°C (320°F) and bake it for 40 minutes. If you insert a bamboo skewer and it doesn't come with the batter, it's done. Remove it from the mold, let it cool, and it's ready.

Tips for cooking

By removing the air from the dough, it becomes a smooth and fine dough. Please make sure to preheat the oven before baking. If the oven does not have a preheating function, set the temperature and heat for 10 minutes before baking. The strength of the heat may vary depending on the type of oven and the period of use. Please make sure to follow the recipe as a guide but adjust the baking time as needed. If it browns too fast, cover it with aluminum foil. This recipe uses honey. Please be careful not to let children below the age of 1 (infants) consume them. You can substitute honey with sugar, but since the sweetness varies depending on the type, we recommend adjusting the taste to your liking.
