  • Rice

  • Salted mackerel

  • Sesame oil
    1 tbsp
  • Green shiso leaves
    3 sheets
  • Ginger
    30 g
  • Roasted white sesame seeds
    1.5 tbsp
  • Vinegar Mix
  • Vinegar
    3 tbsp
  • Sugar
    1 tbsp
  • Salt
    1/4 tsp
  • Nori seaweed
    as needed

How to make

  1. 1. Remove the stems from the green shiso leaves and coarsely chop.
  2. 2. Coarsely chop the ginger.
  3. 3. Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat, add the salted mackerel, and cook over medium heat for about 7 minutes until cooked through. Remove from heat, remove the skin and bones, and break up the fish meat.
  4. 4. Add the blended vinegar to a pot and bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  5. 5. Put the rice in a bowl, pour in Step 4, and slice through the rice.
