  • (A)Miso

  • (A)Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)
    1 tbsp
  • (A)Sake
    1 tbsp
  • (A)Japanese style granulated soup stock
    2 tsp
  • White ground sesame
    2 tbsp
  • Sesame oil
    1 tsp
  • Toppings
  • Soft-boiled egg (onsen tamago)
    1
  • Young green onion (Konegi)
    as needed

How to make

  1. 1. Peel teh skin of daikon radish and carrots, cut them into 3mm wide quarter rounds, and thin-slice the onions.
  2. 2. Put ingredient (A), ingredients from Step 1 into a pot and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes.
  3. 3. Once the ingredients have absorbed the flavor, add the white ground sesame seeds and udon noodles, and simmer over medium heat following the instructions on the udon package.
  4. 4. Serve in a bowl, pour sesame oil in a circle, add some toppings, and it's done!
