  • Silk tofu

  • Starch
    60 g
  • Meat Miso With Tomato
  • Ground pork
    50 g
  • Onion
    1/4
  • Tomato
    1/2
  • (A)Miso
    1 tbsp
  • (A)Noodle soup base (Mentsuyu)
    1 tbsp
  • (A)Sugar
    1 tbsp
  • (A)Sake
    1 tbsp
  • Sesame oil
    1 tbsp
  • Frying oil
    as needed
  • Young green onion (Konegi)
    as needed

How to make

  1. Prepare. Drain the silk tofu.
  2. 1. Finely chop the onion.
  3. 2. Cut the tomato into 0.4-inch cubes.
  4. 3. Divide silk tofu into 4 equal pieces.
  5. 4. Add the ground pork to a pan with sesame oil and stir-fry it, then add Step 1 and stir-fry it until it softens. Add Step 2 and stir-fry lightly, then add the ingredient (A), boil for about 1 minute, turn off the heat, and transfer it to a bowl.
  6. 5. Put starch into a tray, and firmly place it on the entire surface of Step 3.
  7. 6. Pour 1-inch depth of frying oil into a pot, heat to 180℃ (360°F), shallow-fry Step 5 until the surface becomes crispy.
  8. 7. Serve it on a plate, pour Step 4, sprinkle young green onion (konegi), and it's ready to serve.

Tips for cooking

We use mixed miso (awase miso), but please use the miso you like. Please adjust the amount of salt to your liking.
