  • Pork cutlet (Tonkatsu)

  • Onion
    50 g
  • Green peas
    5 g

  • Noodle soup base (Mentsuyu)

  • Japanese sweet cooking wine (Mirin)

How to make

  1. Prepare. Defrost green peas according to the package directions.
  2. 1. Slice onion thinly. Cut pork cutlet (tonkatsu) into easy-to-eat pieces.
  3. 2. Crack the eggs into a bowl and beat.
  4. 3. Heat the warishita broth ingredients and the onion from Step 1 in a pot over medium heat.
  5. 4. Bring to a boil, then add tonkatsu from Step 1 over medium heat.
  6. 5. Add 2/3 of Step 2, cover with a lid, and heat over medium heat for about 20 seconds. Remove the lid, add the remaining Step 2 and green peas, cover again, and heat for about 10 seconds.
  7. 6. Place the rice in a bowl, top with Step 5, and it's ready to serve.

Tips for cooking

Please adjust the amount of noodle soup base (mentsuyu) to your taste. For senior citizens, children under the age of 2, pregnant women, and individuals with weakened immune systems, please heat the eggs thoroughly.
