A simple and easy to understand recipe video shows how to make Chinese Cabbage and Pork dressed With Yuzu Pepper Paste and Ponzu Sauce.
Here is a recipe for an easy dressed dish of Chinese cabbage (hakusai) and pork. We made it into a light and slightly spicy taste using yuzu citrus pepper (yuzu kosho) and ponzu sauce. It is also recommended as a finger food with alcohol. You can make it easily in the microwave. Please give it a try!

Cook time

20 minutes

Ingredients
2 servings

  • Chinese cabbage (Hakusai)
    200 g
  • Thinly sliced pork
    150 g
  • Cooking sake
    1 tbsp
  • (A)Ponzu sauce
    2 tbsp
  • (A)Yuzu pepper paste (Yuzu kosho)
    1 tsp
  • Young green onion (Konegi)
    as needed

How to make

  1. 1. Cut Chinese cabbage into 0.4-inch wide pieces. Put it in a heat-resistant bowl, cover it with a plastic wrap, and heat in a 500 W microwave oven for about 4 minutes in until it becomes wilted. Wait for it to cool.
  2. 2. Put thinly sliced pork and cooking sake into another heat-resistant bowl, cover loosely with a plastic wrap, and microwave for 3 minutes at 600 W. Once the pork is cooked, let it cool.
  3. 3. Add ingredient (A) to a bowl and mix. Add the drained Chinese cabbage and pork from Step 1&2, then toss around and mix.
  4. 4. Serve them on a plate, sprinkle some young green onion and it's done!

Tips for cooking

You can use your preferred yuzu pepper paste. If you don't like spicy food, you may adjust the amount. If you drain the liquid well after heating in the microwave, it will not get watery and will taste better.
